Privacy & Cookies

The short version

We use the information you provide to respond to and manage your inquiry. We may also store information about how you reached our website—including advertising click identifiers, campaign tags, your landing page and the referring website—to understand which marketing brings inquiries. We never sell your information. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies to see how the site is used and to measure our ads — the switch under "Changing your mind" below turns them off, and in the EU and UK they stay off unless you turn them on.

The booking inquiry form

When you send an inquiry, we receive what you entered: your name, email, phone if you choose to give one, and your event details (date, type of booking and event, guest count, location, and your message). Here is exactly where that goes: it is delivered to our booking inbox by Resend, our email provider; a copy lands in VendBook, the booking platform we run our calendar on; and it is saved in our booking records so a technical hiccup can't lose your request. Your network address is saved with your inquiry for spam protection — that layer is why we don't need to make you solve puzzles to reach us.

If your browser is holding the note about how you reached our website (see "How you reached us" below), it travels with your inquiry: it is saved with your inquiry in our booking records, and a one-line summary of it appears in the email to our booking inbox.

We use your contact details to talk to you about your event. The one other use is ad measurement, described under "Analytics we use" below. Want your inquiry deleted? Email us and we'll remove it, along with the note about how you reached us that was saved with it.

How you reached us

Separately from Google's tools, this site keeps its own short note of how you arrived: any Google Ads click identifier and campaign tags in the link you followed, the page you landed on, the website that referred you, and the time. The note sits in your browser's session storage under the key woko-attribution; your browser erases that copy when you close the tab. It reaches us only if you send an inquiry.

Once it has been sent with an inquiry, the note is part of that inquiry's record — in our booking records and in the inquiry email. Closing the tab or turning measurement off afterward does not remove it from there; asking us to delete your inquiry does.

Whether your browser keeps the note at all follows the same rules as the measurement described below. Your browser does not keep it if you have turned measurement off with the switch on this page, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. In the EU, UK, and Switzerland it is not kept unless you turn measurement on; to apply that rule the site checks which country your connection comes from, and that check is not saved.

Analytics we use

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site — pages viewed, device type, and general (city-level) location. We also use Google Ads conversion measurement to know when a visit leads to a booking request. Both run under Google's Consent Mode v2. In the EU, UK, and Switzerland, every consent signal defaults to "denied" and nothing is stored on your device unless you turn measurement on. Everywhere else, measurement is on by default, and the switch under "Changing your mind" below turns it off.

When measurement is on, Google's tag is also set to pick up the email address, phone number or address typed into our inquiry form and send Google a hashed (one-way scrambled) version of it. Google uses that to match an inquiry to an ad click; it calls this enhanced conversions. Turning measurement off withdraws the permission Google's tag needs to send it, and in the EU, UK, and Switzerland that permission stays off unless you turn measurement on.

If you turn measurement off, analytics and advertising cookies stop being set, and the note about how you reached us is erased from your browser and no longer kept there. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under the key woko-consent.

Cookies this site can set

• _ga and _ga_* — Google Analytics identifiers, stored for up to 2 years. Turning measurement off below stops them from being set.
• _gcl_au and other cookies whose names start with _gcl_ — Google Ads conversion measurement, stored for up to 90 days; they tell us when an ad click leads to an inquiry. Turning measurement off below stops them from being set.

Google's tags set these; this site sets no cookies of its own. Not cookies, but also kept in your browser: woko-consent (your on/off choice, local storage), woko-attribution (the note about how you reached us, session storage), and _gcl_ls (Google Ads measurement, local storage).

Resend delivers our inquiry email. VendBook is the booking platform behind our schedule page and receives a copy of each inquiry; it has its own privacy practices. Links to Instagram and Facebook lead to Meta's platforms and policies. Google's handling of analytics and ads data is described in Google's privacy policy.
